The two islands dearest to my heart: Venice and Ireland, inspired this song of love, death and life after death. Two souls meet in human form in Venice, then he flies away as a seagull, but she finds him again as an old tree in Ireland, and, at the end, he follows her in her symbolic journey as a ghost.
